Google is scheduled to file its reply brief by September 29 in its appeal before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit concerning the remedies imposed following the search monopoly judgment. The Department of Justice filed a 144-page brief on July 29 urging the appeals court to strengthen the remedies and asking it to reject the district court's refusal to prohibit Google's default-search distribution payments to Apple and other distribution partners.

Oral argument had not yet been scheduled as of September 4. The appeal therefore remains at the briefing stage, with the government's proposed remedies now facing Google's response.
